Early Love is the new iconic single of Fox Nigon
“Early Love” is a Dream Pop song about memories of childhood loves that didn't come to fruition, and the regrets that this brings years later.
It's a clever idea for a song - looking back at an early girlfriend and selfishly wanting to take all the good things left in your memory.
Of course there's a sense of desperation - it's way too late now, she's married and has children who love her and the singer only wants all of that because he doesn't have any of that.
The song was conceived in an atypical way, as always, by Fox Nigon, who did not wish to use a classic structure; no chorus, but a palpable tension, which rises verse after verse until a final crescendo, before a return to calm and serenity.
Fox makes a lyrical and musical statement here that will resonate with people of all generations.
The look back at the past works aurally, and is delivered with a deliberate sensual ambiance.

It’s a new collaboration with Matt Butler (Paul McCartney, Madness, Kool And The Gang, Tears For Fears,…), whose touch is strongly present in the arrangement.
Matt instinctively opted for a dark synth-pop arrangement: no flashy playing to distract at any point from the vocal performance.
We have a sumptuous range of vintage synthesizers and the idea of using them came very quickly, says Matt.
It is verse after verse after verse that the work of differentiating each person is built, while not straying from the message, which can only be left to the arrangement of the synthesizer.
The atmosphere and the feeling of “frustration” are well served with this relentless rhythm to reinforce a dark feeling.

Fox Nigon is a French singer songwriter surfing on his own style of pop, rock, folk and blues. He became known on the Spanish scene, performing many covers in solo or with local artists. "Laissez-moi chanter" is the first single, with "Revolution", prefiguring the album "être ET renaître", released in 2018. Followed a double single, including "God lives in hell" and "The clown" (Fall 2018), preparing the release of the album "to be AND to be" (Winter 2019).
In 2008, following a stroke, he left all his former activities, to take refuge in music, a therapy that allows him to rebuild. He is the Godfather of the organization France AVC (stroke research and prevention). This accident of life has considerably influenced his music. Today, he shares with us his dark vision of the world, but always full of hope.
With very personal lyrics, neat music, a particular voice, this dark crooner who never leaved his hat and sunglasses, found his actual style after a stay in Liverpool, where he plunged back into the sources of rock and English pop.
His recent encounter with producer Matt Butler (Paul McCartney, Madness, Kool And The Gang, Tears For Fears,...) let him deliver a more polished song, "The game is over", released on March 29th 2019, welcomed by the critics, in particular by RollingStone Magazine.
The last two years have been devoted to his 3rd album, "Adsum", 10 songs produced by Matt Butler between England, France and Spain, mixing different musical styles and taking up current themes, showing how Fox is a committed author.
Today, Fox returns with a new single, “Early Love”, another collaboration with producer Matt Butler, which is taken from the next album announced for the end of 2024.
Four more singles will be released before the album is unveiled.
