NVAK COLLECTIVE’s ROSA LINN TO REPRESENT ARMENIA IN EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2022

Today, via a global announcement, Eurovision Song Contest 2022 revealed that Rosa Linn will represent Armenia in the international songwriting competition. What’s been a lifelong dream, is now a reality for the 21-year-old Armenia singer-songwriter-producer. The single she’s selected to compete with will be released next Friday, March 18 on Nvak Collective.

“From the outside looking in, the odds seemed like they were against me — an unknown girl from a small town in Armenia,” Rosa says. “But the power of manifestation is real when it is combined with hard work, persistence, and just putting oneself out there. I’m excited to let people into my inner-world through my music. And I’m beyond honoured to be able to represent my beloved country on the biggest stage in Europe.”

Rosa will perform her original track live from Turin, Italy on May 10 as part of the first round semifinals, which are followed by the second round semifinals on May 12 and the grand finale May 14. Throughout the process Rosa will have someone close that she can lean on, Nvak Collective co-founder and CEO Tamar Kaprelian who also represented Armenia in the 2015 competition.

“I want to be the first female music producer of my country,” Rosa shares. And that doesn’t take away from the many “firsts” she has already accomplished in her young career: the first Armenian artist signed internationally to a U.S. based label (Nvak Collective) and the first Armenian artist to secure a publishing deal with Warner Chappell.

Her debut single, “KING” featuring Kiiara released September 2021, has over 1 million streams, charted #65 in Armenia, and has been added to several high-profile playlists including Spotify’s Vibes Right Now, Apple Music’s New In Indie & New In Pop, Vevo’s Incoming Pop, and support on YouTube Music’s official socials.

About Rosa Linn:
Rosa Linn is a 21-year-old music artist, songwriter and producer from Vanadzor, Armenia, a small city with, as she describes, “strict, conservative” views. Rosa began playing the piano at age six, but her experience as a musician prior to her involvement with Nvak had largely been a solitary experience: “You’re always on your own getting the gigs, finding the audience with no regional or global opportunity. I just didn’t think my voice had a shot at breaking through; but I kept going, and worked hard at the craft, and didn’t give up on my dream.”

With the goal of becoming Armenia’s first global music artist and first female music producer, Rosa sees great potential in Armenia and wants to diminish the fear that music from the region will never be heard. Backed by punchy drums and polished synths, Rosa brings a modern twist to late 80’s and early 90’s indie-pop. She sings in both Russian and English, providing the power of a good story is universal. With a unique take on love and longing, Rosa brings a new perspective to the world of pop music.
