Following Loreen’s victory in Liverpool with the song Tattoo, the 68th edition of the Contest will be taking place in Sweden, culminating in the Grand Final which will be broadcast live from Malmö Arena. This will be the seventh time Sweden hosts the Contest and this year it'll be hosted by a Hollywood star and an iconic Eurovision-veteran; Malin Åkerman and Petra Mede will together lead the three broadcasts, live from Malmö Arena.

When Graham Met Olly

The clock is ticking, and with just two months to go before Olly heads to Malmö, Sweden, where this year’s contest will take place, he is in competition mode. He and Graham, both self-confessed Eurovision obsessives, analyse the competition and run through the other countries’ acts Olly will be up against.

United Kingdom to perform song in full in Semi-Final for first time

For the very first time, the artists from the Big Five countries - France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom - plus host nation Sweden - will each perform their entries in full live during the Semi-Finals. Olly Alexander will perform the United Kingdom’s song Dizzy during the First Semi-Final on Tuesday 7 May 2024.

The Big Five and Sweden will perform as follows:

First Semi-Final

Germany
Sweden
United Kingdom

Second Semi-Final

France
Italy
Spain

These three additional performances in each Semi-Final will be slotted in between the competing countries’ acts. The Big Five plus Sweden automatically qualify for the Grand Final, so whilst they will perform their song in full live, these countries will not compete for votes in the Semi-Finals and will not be part of the Semi-Final voting sequences.

Eurovision 2024 Grand Final Running Order

Sweden will be the first country to perform in the Grand Final, following a random draw for the host country.

The full running orders of the First and Second Semi-Finals and Grand Final will be determined at a later date.

Eurovision 2024 Voting Window Changes

During the Grand Final on Saturday 11 May, voting will open just before the first song is performed. Viewers at home will be able to cast their votes as the songs are performed, rather than waiting until all entries have been presented, as has been the case since public voting was introduced in 1997 (except in 2010 and 2011 when voting also began at the start of the show).
