“Never in a million years would I have guessed that I’d be able to work on a track with these two iconic artists,” says NALA. “The experience of re-working live instrumentation was really fun for me. It was cool to lean into uncharted territory where psych-rock and dance music live. Grateful to The Dandy Warhols for the opportunity and thrilled to work with the most prominent female punk icon in history. Unreal!”

“IWNSLY” is Nala's first release in partnership with new label, Easier Said, headed by former music publisher Dominique Keegan, whose past signings have included Marshmello, Duke Dumont, Loud Luxury, Hayden James, Toro Y Moi, Jazmine Sullivan and many more.

About

About NALA

Hailing from the vibrant city of Miami, Nala got her start playing popular electronic clubs and festivals where she developed a reputation as an impeccable tastemaker. Her knowledge of house, indie dance, electro, and breaks, as well as her ability to add live vocals have made her a standout performer in the current field of house producers.

In 2020, her positive attitude and infectious DJ style caught the attention of Dirtybird Records’ founder, Claude VonStroke, who mentored her for 3 years. Nala’s unique take on Riot Grrrlstyle vocals and affinity for analog soundscapes helped garner the attention of the industry's top producers and allowed her to pave her own place within the community. Last year saw Nala play the nation’s top clubs including Space Miami and marquee festivals including Coachella, Ultra, Electric Forest and Electric Zoo among many others.

In July 2022, Nala launched her own label, Mi Domina, a femme-dominant electronic label intent on merging punk rock aesthetics with underground dance music. The label's first release, Get Familiar EP, with fellow Dirtybird artist, E.R.N.E.S.T.O, was released the same day receiving accolades and support from Beatport and EDM.com to name a few.

Her 2022 releases on Dirtybird Records, Pets Recordings, and Black Book Records received worldwide support and charted several Beatport Top 100s and year-end lists. Her music video for “The World is Always Ending” with Nikki Nair was listed on Top 10 music videos of the year on Mixmag Asia.

Nala continues her meteoric rise in 2023 with festival and headline club plays across North America and an exciting schedule of original releases and remixes.

About The Dandy Warhols

The Dandy Warhols are an American alternative rock band, formed in Portland, Oregon, in 1994 by singer-guitarist Courtney Taylor-Taylor and guitarist Peter Holmström. They were later joined by keyboardist Zia McCabe and drummer Eric Hedford. Hedford left in 1998 and was replaced by Taylor-Taylor's cousin Brent DeBoer. The band's name is a play on the name of American pop artist Andy Warhol.

The band gained recognition after they were signed to Capitol Records and released their major label album debut, ...The Dandy Warhols Come Down, in 1997. In 2001, the band rose to new levels of fame after their song "Bohemian Like You" enjoyed extensive exposure due to being featured in a Vodafone advertisement. The Dandy Warhols were the subject of the 2004 documentary film Dig!, along with San Francisco psychedelic outfit The Brian Jonestown Massacre. They have released 10 studio albums, two compilation albums, six EPs, and 27 singles to date.

About Debbie Harry

The name Debbie Harry evokes many images: seminal rock-n-roll figure, complex songstress, incandescent front woman, actor and fashion icon. Debbie’s chart-topping success, fearless spirit and rare longevity - including more than 50 million albums sold worldwide and acclaimed solo projects - have cemented her as a vibrant global force and a shaper of pop culture.

With Blondie, undeniably one of the most trailblazing and influential bands of our time, Debbie and co-founder Chris Stein brought the worlds of rock, punk, disco and Reggae together with “Heart of Glass” and “Call Me” and broke ground by combining hip-hop and pop on “Rapture.” Their decades-long successes led to an induction into the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame for the band in 2006. As a solo artist, Nile Rodgers & Bernard Edwards co-produced her first release Koo Koo in 1981 and she continued to defy expectations with such genre-busting efforts as “French Kissing in the U.S.A.,” “Rush Rush,” “Rain,” and “The Jam Was Moving.” Debbie has also had a long running collaboration with the critically acclaimed American jazz group, The Jazz Passengers, stalwarts of New York's free-jazz scene. Her spectacular voice drips with a sophisticated elegance rarely heard in pop music as she continues to infuse her work with an exquisite artistic sensibility.

Outside of music, Debbie has also engaged in a successful acting career with over 30 film and television roles to her credit (including Videodrome, Hairspray, and Heavy to name a few). She has become and still remains a true national treasure, one whose influence continues to impact the worlds of music, fashion and art.

More recently, in October of 2019, Debbie became a best selling author with the release of her memoir, FACE IT. In an arresting mix of visceral storytelling and stunning visuals including never-before-seen photographs, bespoke illustrations and fan art installations, FACE IT upended the standard musical memoir while delivering a truly intimate portrait of an iconoclast. With all the grit, grime and glory recounted in intimate detail, FACE IT recreated the downtown scene of 1970s New York City, where Blondie played alongside The Ramones, Television, Talking Heads, Iggy Pop and David Bowie. Following her path from glorious commercial success to heroin addiction, the near-death of partner Chris Stein, a heart-wrenching bankruptcy and Blondie’s break up as a band, to her multifaceted acting career, a stunning solo career and the triumphant return of the band, FACE IT is a cinematic story of a woman who made her own path, and set the standard for a generation of artists who followed in her footsteps.

From an irreverent Lower East Side punk goddess to a bona fide international ambassador of New York cool, Debbie Harry will forever be synonymous with that punk spirit that lives somewhere in all of us.
