Fifth Harmony overtake 5 Seconds of Summer on Artist on the Rise EMA vote

Fifth Harmony have usurped 5 Seconds of Summer in the MTV EMA Artist on the Rise poll.

The music awards ceremony is asking fans to vote via hashtags for who they think is the top rising act in mainstream music.

The results of the poll will be announced during the US broadcast of the MTV EMAs, which are taking place in Glasgow on Sunday (November 9).

At the time of writing, Fifth Harmony have toppled previous leaders 5 Seconds of Summer and are leading the poll with just over 18 million votes.

The pop-punk Australians are a close second with a count of over 17.5 million.

Nick Jonas - who Pressparty recently caught up with for a chat - is third with almost 465,000 votes.
