Fifth Harmony deny split gossip: 'The band is the foundation of everything'

Fifth Harmony have poured cold water on speculation that they were close to breaking up.

The internet was ablaze with gossip recently that the group, who formed on the US X Factor in 2012, could split.

This was partly because singer Camila Cabello recorded a cameo on Shawn Mendes' single 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'..

However, the band are due to release their second album '7/27' on May 20 and they told Entertainment Tonight the future of Fifth Harmony was never in doubt.

Dinah Jane Hansen said: "Regardless of everything that's been going on, that's always been the focus, Fifth Harmony.

"Fifth Harmony is definitely our first love...it's always been the foundation of everything."

Lauren Jauregui added: "I mean, we were just in the studio and we are coming out with an album, you know, and that's what happened with that, honestly, at the end of the day... we got a song on the radio right now."
