One Direction have added to their tally of record breaking achievements with their debut fragrance ‘Our Moment’ becoming the fastest selling fragrance so far this year – and the fastest selling fragrance EVER for some retailers. Michelle D’vaz, Brand and Marketing Manager of nationwide specialist retailer The Perfume Shop said, “’Our Moment’ has outsold any other fragrance based on first week sales alone”. ‘Our Moment’ recently went on sale in the UK, US and Australia with a further 30 countries to follow before the end of the year. In the UK & Ireland, the fragrance is predicted to be the biggest new launch of 2013 based on current sales. In the UK, The Perfume Shop has awarded One Direction its first ever ‘Golden Perfume Bottle Award’ as record breaking launch figures make it the fastest selling scent in history. ‘Our Moment’ has surpassed expectations, seeing a bottle sold every minute in stores nationwide forcing the UK’s largest specialist perfume retailer to triple deliveries to its 258 stores this week and enlist additional staff as it sees an influx of dedicated fans visiting their stores. In the US and Canadian markets, results after the first week of sales are beyond expectation, exceeding initial projections. As a result of the impressive sales, the fragrance is expected to be a top performer during the holiday season. In Australia, Our Moment went straight in to number one at Myer’s when it launched a few weeks ago and has become their biggest ever celebrity fragrance launch. Faye Langworthy of Modest!
