Harry Styles on Meaning Behind “Watermelon Sugar”
British star Harry Styles enlightened the crowd about the meaning behind his chart-topping hit "Watermelon Sugar" during his Nashville concert on Friday night (Oct. 1).
Styles confirmed on stage: "It doesn't really matter what it's about... "Watermelon Sugar" is about the sweetness of life... it's also about the female orgasm (see below).
"But that’s totally different. It’s not really relevant."
The "Adore You" singer shared the "Watermelon Sugar" insight as he started to sing it, along with the audience.

"Watermelon Sugar" hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2020, becoming Styles' first song to accomplish the feat.
Styles kicked off the U.S. leg of his Love on Tour shows this year on Sept. 4 in Las Vegas, after they were initially canceled last year due to COVID-19 restrictions. The tour is in support of his sophomore album, Fine Line, and has already been packed with memorable moments, like helping a pregnant fan reveal her baby's gender in front of the crowd, and giving dating advice to a fan.
