Franchise continues to stay a top scoring phenomenon
December 2, 2020 - The Voice Senior is scoring stellar ratings in Europe. In Italy, nearly 4.5 million viewers saw the senior talent show premiere on RAI UNO, scoring an impressive 19.8 % market share in the key demo, becoming the leader in its time slot. The audience was clearly buzzing, considering the triumph of positive comments on social media. Also in Belgium the show is doing incredibly well, bringing in sky high numbers and outperforming the slot average of VTM for two weeks in a row now. The show portrays fascinating candidates with interesting life stories, who have so much to share besides their great talent.
This is in line with the ongoing strong performance of the Voice franchise worldwide. In the Netherlands, The Voice reached 2.2 million viewers this weekend and a market share of 33.8% in the key demo, making it the number one show in its time slot. In the US, the 19th series attracted 7 million viewers last Monday, with 0.9 rating points. Among the big 4 networks, The Voice had the biggest individual audience of the night and the highest rating in the 25-54 demographic. The award-winning format that celebrates its 10-year anniversary this year continues to prove its power with strong performances for all its versions across the globe.
The Voice franchise, consisting of The Voice, The Voice Kids and The Voice Senior, currently has a total of 125 adaptations across the globe, making it the biggest and most adapted format in the non-scripted global marketplace to date.
