Iggy Azalea: 'Social media is fine until it translates into my real life'

Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has revealed that she doesn't mind social media, but is wary of it when it becomes something that 'translates' into her actual life.

Speaking to reporters at the recent VevoFan Fest, the 'Fancy' hitmaker explained that she tends to ignore negativity on her social networking pages and it only bothers her when people from the online world cross over into her real world as it makes her feel intimidated:

"I try not to look at it. I think the strangest thing is when for me it translates into my real life or being followed by people."

She added that there have been instances when her car has been followed, which is unnerving: "I get followed by people in my car and I can't drive that fast yet so I'm not good at getting away!"

The star also spoke to BBC Radio 1 earlier this month about her work ethic and confessed that she has to make sure she has enough time for sleep in her schedule or everything else suffers:

"I really do not understand how you can go out and party all night long and not sleep and then get up and do a sound check. I cannot do that, I need to sleep. I'm fine with working hard but then I just don't want to play hard. I couldn't be bothered."
