Katie Melua feels ready to work again

Katie Melua is getting over the stresses and pressures of fame and is ready to continue her career, The Sun reports.

The British tabloid explains that the 'Closest Thing To Crazy' singer, who is now 26, revealed:

"I've been very unwell. I couldn't go on any longer. I was just sitting in a chair, staring into space."

"I was working myself into the ground."

The star's latest album, 'The House', was met with great reception and Melua will be performing tracks from it on a special BBC Radio 2 show this Friday night, February 25, at 7pm. The broadcast won't be made available until March 3, but interested fans can apply for tickets through her official website until 6pm tonight when the lucky winners will be announced.
