Tropic Harbour is a utopian space constructed by Candian artist, Mark Berg, for peace of mind. This headspace has become the moniker for Berg’s hazy bliss-pop creations contrived from nostalgic images and dreams of the coast.

As an ever-evolving musical outlet, created as a form of self-help and reflective escapism by Berg, his new single ‘Come Back’ continues this theme, with focus on the impact of loneliness on the self.

Directed by Louis Dazy, the kaleidoscopic visuals for ‘Come Back’ explore the possibilities of a love that currently doesn’t exist, keeping Berg forever in a dream-like state. The visuals perfectly match the interrupted synths and delicate vocal melodies in the tender landscape that Berg has created for both himself and the listener.

Speaking of ‘Come Back’, Berg explains,

“’Come Back’ is about craving companionship during a time of loneliness, appreciating a close platonic love while struggling to not want more out of it. It references me trying to make big life decisions while my thoughts are being tied up in what-ifs.”
