Whilst, ‘To The Creator…’ implies religious connotations, Joe Slater’s intention with the release is to welcome inclusion, regardless of one’s religious beliefs, emphasising that “the world is bigger than the estate that you’re raised in.”

Speaking of the track, Joe explains, “With no specific reference to culture or religion, this is a track for everyone, no matter who or what we believe in."

With words wise before his years, the single offers smooth guitar-led tones with a Country and Americana backdrop, perfect for fans of Jason Isbell and Simon & Garfunkel.

Joe continues to deliver a mature and saturating blend of rock, blues, and soul and gained national exposure from Tom Robinson at BBC Radio 6, Metro Liverpool and Fred Perry Subculture. Joe Slater has also been added to a number of high-profile Spotify playlists and over 200,000 new fans have discovered his music online since November 2018.

As well as support from these online and radio tastemakers, Joe is gaining a reputation for putting on a stellar performance, with sold out shows in London and Liverpool, with his most recent show at Parr Studios in Liverpool being declared as “one of the biggest live music events that we [Parr Studios] have hosted."

Joe has been confirmed to play several UK festivals this summer, including the Isle of Wight Festival and Cornbury Festival and will be performing with his new band.

For those who’d prefer a more intimate set, you can get close up and personal with Joe on 18 April at The Camden Chapel at London Irish Centre, where he has donated a performance to Youth Music’s #GiveAGig. For tickets please click here.
