Lovebox festival is back and bigger than ever before for 2020, announcing today that American megastar Tyler, The Creator will headline its newly-reignited Sunday night. London’s much-loved festival will be expanding to three days and moving a month earlier, taking place on 12th, 13th and 14th of June 2020 at London’s Gunnersbury Park.

With its first 2020 announcement, Lovebox festival solidifies its reputation for bringing the world’s most exciting talent to London by bringing Tyler, The Creator to its Main Stage.

The Grammy-nominated rapper, songwriter and producer first gained widespread attention as the front man of cult alternative hip hop group Odd Future, producing and performing on nearly every track of their two studio records.

From there his debut mixtape Bastard solidified him as a much-respected underground hip hop maverick, which he followed up with Yonkers on debut Goblin and the release of two more acclaimed studio albums.

Earlier this year, Tyler, The Creator released his first US-number one album Igor, which contained hits ‘EARFQUAKE’ and ‘I THINK’ and was followed by a world tour, including a monumental return to the UK after four years – three nights at London’s Brixton Academy. Tyler’s performance received critical acclaim from the likes of The Guardian, The Telegraph and The i, which called it ‘an explosive incendiary return to UK soil’.

As his only London festival performance next year, Tyler’s performance is set to bring Lovebox 2020 to a legendary close.

Last year saw another successful festival with standout performances from Solange, Chance The Rapper, Lizzo, slowthai, BROCKHAMPTON, J Hus, Giggs and more. With more announcements imminent, Lovebox fans have a lot to be excited for.
