Concrete Green has released his latest single ‘One Last Try’. The musical project is the brainchild of London-based singer-songwriter Daniel Green whose guitar-driven compositions draw listeners into a relatable world of soul-searching through the slightly cynical eyes of a 30-year-old idler.

His latest single ‘One Last Try’ showcases Concrete Green’s ability to craft expansive soundscapes while blending them with his introspective lyrical style. The alternative rock track utilises mellow acoustic guitar and piano lines with ambient synths and impactful drum beats that pair with Green’s phased vocals to create a reflective track that gently crescendos into an all out wall of sound.

Concrete Green explains the making of the track, “At the time I wrote One Last Try, I was feeling depressed and lost, but felt the urge to keep those feelings inside as much as I could. I felt like my inner self and outer self were drifting away from each other. When I arranged One Last Try the first part was meant to emulate the feeling of 'the calm before the storm' while the second part is a full representation of ‘the perfect storm’."

Growing up between Tel Aviv and London, Green’s life has always been a blend of influences and cultures — from Bruce Lee and South Park to the Beatles, Radiohead, and 90s indie music. The result is a sonic fusion of quirky, ambivalent songs mixing technical guitar mastery with hooky alt-rock textures, and an outlook on life that is refreshingly down to earth. Having played guitar in bands and as a session musician Green has worked with an array of producers and writers, including John Cornfield (Muse, Supergrass, Razorlight). From tiny, sweaty gigs at Jaguar Shoes in Old Street to the bleeding-edge, fully immersive Outernet in Tottenham Court Road, he performs at venues large and small around Europe. Now back with his Solo project, Concrete Green looks poised to deliver his brand of sometimes humorous, sometimes melancholic style of songwriting.
