[03/08/2021] Back with another banger, Toronto rap royalty Charlie Noiir releases ‘REASONS’, a fiery and boastful hip-hop track featuring production from Tribe Alexander. Known for his penchant for party-starting anthems and bold, magnetic energy, Charlie Noiir brings all the heat to this one, delivering his most assertive and self-assured performance to date.

As the lead vocalist in XNDR Q., as well as a member of the Toronto collective, STAYOUTLATE, Charlie Noiir is no stranger to hard work or grand ambitions. In fact, ‘REASONS’ comes just two weeks after the release of FABERGÉ, STAYOUTLATE’s debut album, proving Charlie Noiir’s hunger and insatiable creativity. For ‘REASONS’, Noiir does what he does best, offering fans an unabashed and unapologetic post-pandemic party anthem that’s just in time for the summer.
“The record Reasons came about like super organically. I guess you could say I had a lot to get off my chest. We were just applying the finishing touches to Faberge so I was still in heavy recording mode and I had a lot to say that I didn't feel fit for THE project. I had a session with Tribe and he played this beat and off the rip the hook came to me And everything else just followed.”

“If I had to describe the record I would say it's a call to arms. How I was raised, we were taught to value a code. Everybody out to have that principle they stand on, that hill they are willing to die on. That shit should be a moral compass… If you're built solid. I felt a lot of that was lacking in today's world and in music in particular. Not being preachy but this was my way of addressing that. Chest out and bold.
But I also wanted it to be fun, cause it's summer and the world needs that side of things too. This music is therapy for me but along the way I found out how to get shit off my chest but do it with extraordinary songwriting. I take pride in that… If anything I hope the record gives people confidence, hell even a slight arrogance like yeah this is me, I ain't backing down, I’m coming for mine. Everyone gotta have that energy and attack each day with it but also have fun cause life is short and we back outside…”

In the midst of the western world awakening from a pandemic induced slumber, Charlie Noiir graciously provides the “WE OUTSIDE” anthem we’ve all been waiting for. Flagrant and provocative, the Alex Tribe produced banger fuses head-bopping trap beats with a deep, driving bassline that complements the gritty and unfiltered lyricism present throughout the track. Both an emphatic proclamation and soundtrack to all the impending f*ckery you're bound to get into, ‘REASONS’ is as multifaceted and multi-purpose as its creator.

From the Japanese, anime-inspired video editing and art direction (Jei Parks) to the black-owned designers who made all his clothes, ‘REASONS’ is an embodiment of Charlie’s vibrant personality, eclectic inspirations and personal values, all of which shine through in this epic, Tyler Roussel directed music video. A treat for the eyes and ears, this is Charlie at his most unadulterated, unfiltered and real, this is Charlie Noiir letting you know just what he can do, and just how well he can do it.
