Atlantic Canadian pop singer-songwriter, Apryll Aileen captures the dreamy pop vibes of the season with her new single “Our Time”, with all the elements of a summer love song: a hooky upbeat dance chorus, flowers in bloom, feeling present and running into the sunset.

Aileen was inspired to write the song “Our Time” by summer romance. The lyrics ““is there a reason we can’t make our season longer?” begs the question of timing and could this be something more? Summer love feels like true bliss - sweet like candy in the summer sun:

“People come into our lives for a small moment, a few years or a lifetime - accepting the terms of the season and appreciating it for what it is, is a beautiful way to keep the love and friendship alive.”

Aileen transcends genres, creating her own undefinable sound with influences coming from pop, electronic, rock, folk and R&B. She doesn’t imitate – she creates.

A hybrid of two polarities, she blends melodic songwriting and vocal tones from artists such as Miley Cyrus and Adele but with the storytelling edge of Stevie Nicks.

From performing in London, Hollywood, New York, Toronto and more, Aileen is no stranger to the music world. Her band in Los Angeles includes Toshi Yanagi and Jimmy Earl (players for Jimmy Kimmel Live!).

Apryll Aileen is a classically trained pianist with a touch of science & spirituality; an alt-pop soulful vocalist, guitarist and songwriter hailing from Atlantic Canada.

The music video was filmed and edited by Benjamin Edwards at Cavendish Beach, Prince Edward Island National Park when Aileen was a songwriter selected to participate in the Canadian Songwriting

Challenge held every year by Music PEI and the Government of PEI. Juno-nominated producer, songwriter and recording artist, Maïa Davies was the Artistic Director and stylist.

The song was produced in Nova Scotia by Juno Award winning producer, songwriter, remixer, and engineer Corey LeRue who has worked with Neon Dreams, Ria Mae, Inna, etc. His songs have amassed over 250+ million streams.
