Paul Weller's new album 'Sonik Kicks' set for No.1

Paul Weller's new release 'Sonik Kicks' is set to debut at No.1 in the UK albums chart.

The Modfather is sitting pretty at the top of the chart this afternoon (March 21) after the midweek update was released.

He usurps Military Wives, who landed at No.1 last weekend with their album 'In My Dreams'.

Elsewhere in the midweek chart, David Guetta rocketed up the chart by six places to No.3 with his effort 'Nothing But The Beat'.

Adele's immortal '21' meanwhile dropped two places to No.5, finding itself propped up by Lana Del Rey's debut 'Born To Die'.

As previously reported, Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders took to remixing one of Weller's new tracks, 'That Dangerous Age'.
