Day Job Records Launch New Showcase NightTuesday, 12th March 2013 The Sebright Arms, 31-35, Coate Street, London, E2 9AG We are teaming up with Matt Barnes from The Roundhouse Radio to bring you the first of our new monthly nights where we will be showcasing the best new talent we come across in this city and its surroundings. Not only are we going to be celebrating the opening of this night, we will also be wishing Day Job Records a very happy second birthday! We will be showcasing some exceptional artists and bands to kick off this event! So leave work on Tuesday 12th march, come down to The Sebright Arms and experience some unheard of (un)-healthy sounds that will finally give reason to the miserable beginnings of our week… We have the pleasure to welcome the following four acts: Womens Murder Club https://www.facebook.com/pages/Womens-Murder-Club/128132160571859 Womens Murder Club are a five- man strong musical collective from DublinCity. Their goal is not fame nor money, they have no interest in superficial things like top ten hits or traditional thinking. They simply wish to develop a sound that is their own. A sound that is contemporary yet classical. A sound that can accurately articulate yet transcend the gamut of emotions and experience that five twenty year olds share in this world. The YuYa https://www.facebook.com/TheYuya The YuYa play acoustic fuelled, avant-garde, toe-tapping indie-folk music. How do you best describe hearing The YuYa for the first time? "...my god it was amazing, like I was hit by a frying pan..." according to BBC London, have a listen and see what you think. Dan Korn & The Choppy Waters https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dan-Korn/152050434807981 Singer-songwriter Dan Korn weaves enchanting melodies around exquisitely crafted lyrics. Dan's evocative songs are "laden with farewells". The Rusty Suns (Acoustic Set) https://www.facebook.com/RustySuns Finally Alfie (ex-Holloways) and Tom found a band and wrote some new songs and did two gigs after one rehearsal and surprised everyone, even themselves. Excitement is afoot. Matt Barnes (Roundhouse Radio) DJ Set DJ Grench (Day Job Records) DJ Set Entrance: £4 on the door Doors open at 7.30pm, live music will start at 8pm! https://www.facebook.com/MattBarnesRadio http://www.roundhouse.org.uk/explore/radio/matt-barnes-indie-show Industry please contact greg@dayjobrecords.com for guest list.
