DUCKWRTH’S THE FALLING MAN PROJECT IS OUT TODAY, FEAT. TERRACE MARTIN, RICO NASTY, KIANA LEDÉ AND MOREOFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY Republic Records Click here to listen to The Falling Man: Duckwrth’s newest project, The Falling Man, is out today via Republic Records. Paralleling the ups and downs of an artist to a king, Duckwrth addresses his fear of falling as quickly as he rises. Taking universal themes like power and corruption, love and death, and courage and heroism, Duckwrth scores big, cinematic sounds to tell stories both familiar and forgotten. From “NOBODY FALLS,” a track about not wanting to be constrained by anything, not even love, to reality checking numbers like “KING KING” and “SALLIE MAE,” Duckwrth challenges himself emotionally and sonically by laying down intricate thoughts next to fusions of orchestral strings, 808s and disorted bass lines. The Falling Man includes production from Medasin, Mr. Carmack, NoMbe, Two Fresh, strings from Harlan Silverman and features guest appearances from Terrace Martin, Rico Nasty, Allan Kingdom and Kiana Ledé. Check it out here: With The Falling Man now out and a full studio album on the horizon, 2019 is set to be a major breakout year for Duckwrth. From selling out tours with Anderson Paak, Rich Brian, and headlining a handful of them on his own to having his music featured on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse , Insecure, Bill Maher and more, the Los Angeles rapper has been steadily evolving into a household name. For his groundbreaking single “MICHUUL” alone, Duckwrth received recognition from the likes of The Fader, Clash, and Paper Magazine, who deemed him as “Outkast meets N.E.R.D meets something entirely out of this world.” Some of his most recent accolades include garnering over 22.7 million streams on Spotify for his Spider-Man single, “Start A Riot,” performing for Quincy Jones and Steve Mcqueen’s "Sounds of America" series, partnering with Fila and Paul Smith, and collaborating with Palms Casino for their "UNSTATUS QUO" campaign. Recently back from Australia for a series of Groovin the Moo performances, Duckwrth is now preparing for his headlining Heineken Green Room performances in Philadelphia on May 21st and in Brooklyn on May 22nd. This summer, he will head back overseas for a string of European festivals, including Openair Frauenfeld in Switzerland, Musik i Lejet in Denmark, Malmo Sommarscen in Sweden, and Melt Festival in Germany.
