Rihanna Sings “We Are The Champions” in Honor of 2020 NBA Title

Rihanna celebrated the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday [Oct. 11] by singing "We Are The Champions" at a party which she posted a clip of onto Instagram.

Wearing a Kobe Bryant No. 24 jersey, the global superstar sang along with friends to Queen's "We Are the Champions," whilst holding a handful of helium balloons and pompoms.

"If you ain’t on this time right now...bye," she wrote. "Lebron remains king Lakers are the champs and Kobe is proud A.D thank you! ...Congratulations."

Lebron James and company defeated his former team, the Miami Heat, in game six last night, marking the first time since 2010 that the city hoisted the NBA champs trophy. The team's 17th title now ties them with the Boston Celtics for the all-time record.

On March 27 this year, Rihanna featured on Canadian singer PartyNextDoor's song, 'Believe It'. 

Aside from music, RiRi is also known for her involvement in humanitarian causes, entrepreneurial ventures, and the fashion industry. She is the founder of the nonprofit organization Clara Lionel Foundation, cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty, and fashion house Fenty under LVMH.
