The Voice 'more than happy' to allow Rita Ora to record Band Aid single

The Voice have confirmed that they are trying to find a way to allow Rita Ora to record a part for the new Band Aid single.

Bob Geldof confirmed on Monday (November 10) that the 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' single will be revived for its 30th anniversary to raise funds for the battle against Ebola.

However, the Irishman said that Ora might not be able to record a part for the tune this weekend (November 15) because of The Voice commitments.

Geldof said: "Rita Ora was doing it until a couple of days ago, but she discovered she was contracted to The Voice. We've asked The Voice if they can work around this to give us two hours of Rita. So far, it hasn't been very good. I'm sure with a bit of encouragement it will happen."

A rep for The Voice, which Ora recently signed up to appear on as a coach, told Digital Spy:

"The BBC is more than happy for Rita to take part in the single and The Voice production team is liaising with her management to work around a major diary clash."

The new Band Aid single meanwhile will be released on November 17.

Other artists confirmed to appear on the tune include One Direction, Adele, Sam Smith and Ellie Goulding.
