Sam Smith: 'I love the idea of settling down one day'

British singer-songwriter Sam Smith has revealed that while he's enjoying his success and new lifestyle now that he's found fame, he can't wait to settle down eventually and live a quiet life.

Speaking to Teen Vogue recently, the superstar explained that falling in love is something he really wants to do and he's looking forward to the future: "The idea of having a house, a kid, a husband, and a dog...I love that. I also really want to open a coffee and flower shop one day, probably in Italy."

"I fell in love with someone last year, and he didn't love me back. I deleted him off of WhatsApp, and it felt like I'd just broken up with him. On the record you can hear heartbreak, and there's a beauty in that I will always treasure."

Smith also opened up about his debut album, 'In The Lonely Hour', and confessed that performing the songs makes him feel quite vulnerable as they're so personal: "I stand onstage and I wanna cry for the entire thing because people know my business. You all know me. You can read as many interviews as you want, but if you put on my record, I'm telling you, that is me."
