Sam Smith gets Madame Tussauds waxwork figure in San Francisco
'Stay With Me' sensation Sam Smith will be at the Madame Tussauds museum in San Francisco next Monday (August 10) to personally unveil his wax model.
The superstar is set to perform live at the Golden Gate Park at the Outside Lands music festival on Sunday and will make an appearance at Madame Tussauds the next day for the ceremony.
Chris Connors, the General Manager of Madame Tussauds, said in an official statement: "Madame Tussauds is honoured to celebrate Sam Smith's musical accomplishments here in San Francisco and to welcome him into our effervescent Music Room. We can't wait to offer his fans a chance to get up close to one of the best-loved singers of his generation."
Visitors to Madame Tussauds in San Francisco will be able to view his wax likeness from August 10. Smith, meanwhile, recently confessed that he will take a break at the end of this year to concentrate on writing for his new record:
"I'm going to take a break. A massive break towards the end of the year I think. Just because I want to re-gather. I'm already writing. I feel like I've already got the title to the album; I've got the concept to the album. I work in terms of concepts."
