Music mogul Simon Cowell has opened up about the downsides to preparing for a baby and joked that making sure everything is safe has been a drag and the thought of having to cut back on smoking is not appealing. 

Speaking about having to change his habits once the child arrives, the superstar explained that he won't quit smoking so instead will compromise with a 'smoking room' because he still needs his vices:

"There are a lot of boring things that happen when you have a baby. You have to get rid of sharp edges, cigarettes, alcohol ... then there's the toilet to make safe. But I'll have a smoking room!"

He added that one of the One Direction members' mothers is currently pregnant so he keeps checking in with Louis Tomlinson to ask how his mother is doing: "I was just texting with Louis the other night because his mum is pregnant and is going to have the baby the same time as Lauren. So it's like, who is going to go first? I think I am going to win."
