The Vamps on taking control of their career: 'There's so much more work involved than people think'

'Can We Dance' hitmakers The Vamps have opened up about their hands-on and involved approach to their collective career in a new interview with R&R Productions, and revealed that while they always have a lot on their plates they wouldn't have it any other way.

Frontman Brad Simpson and drummer Tristan Evans explained that they make most of the creative decisions themselves and ensure they're involved in every part of their journey, from production to touring:

"There's a lot more work involved than people think... we're very hands on with it as well [...] Tristan is producing B-sides, we're always writing songs, and we're always doing something or other - we're always in control of everything."

"We went to America and did a tour with Austin Mahone and didn't have one day off in seven weeks... then we came back here to rehearse for this tour. It makes more of a workload, but that's the way we want it to be."
