The Vamps' James reveals why he decided to help Centrepoint charityThe Vamps' James McVey recently teamed up with youth homelessness charity Centrepoint UK and he designed T-shirts that will raise money for the organisation. The musician has now opened up about why he decided to help the charity in a new interview with Centrepoint. McVey explained: "I have been extremely lucky to have travelled the world and continue to do so annually while touring. I have, however, sadly witnessed first-hand young people sleeping on the streets across the globe." "I believe that a great many of us, definitely myself included, frequently take for granted fundamental essentials in life - one of those being a warm and safe place to sleep at night." Talking about the T-shirts he created for the fundraising project, he added: "The message of my campaign is to simply “spread love”, and to “love all, love everywhere”. I intend to promote the notion of acceptance, support and kindness, and I believe this message coincides with Centrepoint's ethos." "It's staggering that one in every 100 young people in the UK experience homelessness at some stage every year. I intend to do all I can to help combat this with this two week campaign, donating my proceeds to Centrepoint. Centrepoint is an amazing charity, helping 9,000 homeless young people each year."
