Shaun Ryder penning autobiography

Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder has revealed he’s currently penning his memoirs.

"I've been mithered for years to write my autobiography, but I've always said no because the timing never felt right,” he admits. “Plenty of other people have had their say on Happy Mondays, and now just felt like the right time to tell it like it really happened."

The book will lift the lid on Ryder’s hedonistic days with Happy Mondays and Black Grape as well as his stint on ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.’

Sarah Emsley, editorial director at Transworld, the publishing house releasing the book, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be publishing the raw, undiluted autobiography of one of the UK’s most beloved rock stars."

The book is expected to be released this autumn.
