Bon Iver’s second album difficulties

Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon has told ‘Rolling Stone’ that writing the follow up to his critically acclaimed debut, ‘For Emma, Forever Ago,’ was difficult.

“Somewhere along the line, I forgot how to write songs. I couldn’t do it anymore with a guitar. It wasn’t happening,” he said.

But, upon drafting in a selection of musicians and producers, the 10-track album started to take shape.

“I built the record myself, but I allowed those people to come in and change the scene,” he explained.

Bon Iver’s as yet untitled second album is due out in June.
