Jeff Buckley biopic in the works

A film about the life and tragic death of singer/songwriter Jeff Buckley has been greenlit, reports Deadline.com.

Buckley drowned in 1997 having released one critically-acclaimed album, ‘Grace.’ He was just 30.

The as-yet-untitled movie will be directed by Ridley Scott’s son, Jake Scott, who helmed the indie hit, ‘Welcome To The Rileys.’ Buckley’s mother Mary Guibert will taking an executive producer role.

Filming is expected to commence in autumn.
