Mikill Pane - 'Summer In The City' lyric video!Mikill Pane New single – Summer In The City out is out 9th September through Virgin EMI Lyric video below
Mikill Pane is back with his ultimate ode to the hotter months, “Summer In The City” With its nagging, sun-kissed whistling motif and blue-skied excitement and optimism, it’s the perfect track to soundtrack the long summer days. Laid back with an uplifting sing-along chorus, I’ts sure to set the airwaves alight this summer. Summer In The City comes off the back of “Chairman Of The Board”, a track that saw Mikill Pane hit the playlist at Radio 1 and picked up plays from Sarah Cox and Huw Stephens. Signed last year to Universal off the back of his early mixtapes and incredible live show, Mikill Pane has been in and out of the studio with top producer Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, Nina Nesbitt) and the result is the brilliant debut album “Blame Miss Barclay”. His songs are brilliant, evocative snapshots of London life, taking in parties, hot days in the park, cycling manically around the streets come day or night. Quick witted and thought provoking, “Blame Miss Barclay” might just be the crossover record of the year. In May, Mikill Pane teamed up with super-cool cycle clothing company Rapha to do a bike ride from London to Brighton, culminating in his performance at the Great Escape. A packed crowd saw him tear the roof off the place, and similar scenes have been witnessed across the country on tour with old friends Rizzle Kicks and old mate Ed Sheeran. Already featured in i-D, RWD and the Guardian, Mikill Pane is the feel good artist of the summer. His awesome performances at Glastonbury, headlining the BBC Introducing Stage. His debut album, Blame Miss Barclay” is released the same day, 9th September.
