Matinée are named after Franz Ferdinand's hit song The Dark Of The Matinée, and they struck up a firm friendship when Matinée supported Franz Ferdinand on their Italian tour. Last year they played at the Un Altro Festival in Milan, opening for The Lumineers. Other support slots include Mystery Jets, The Futureheads, and British Sea Power.
