Following its addition as BBC Radio 1’s Track Of The Week on Nick Grimshaw’s daytime show, AMA has today released a new version of her single ‘Hour We On’ featuring a verse from West London grime star Big Zuu.

The track came together organically with Big Zuu saying: ‘I heard the song first on Beats 1 when I did the Friday show with Julie and then went home and downloaded the EP straight away, from then I followed AMA and told her we should work. I basically kidnapped the instrumental and wrote the bars when I was flying to Sierra Leone, flew home recorded it in isolation and here we have a lil banger of a remix for the people to enjoy.’

AMA comments: ‘I thought the track could sound very hard with him spitting over it so I sent the beat over and let him do his thing and loved what he sent back.’

Her latest project ‘PIXELHEART’ released in March on Dirty Hit enlisted production from both sides of the Atlantic, the lead single ‘Hour We On’ was produced by Brooklyn based Jim E-Stack (Haim, Anna Of The North, Dillon Francis), the EP opens up with the crescendo of ‘Bright’ produced by rising London producer and previous collaborator Daniel Hylton Nuamah, whilst the 2-Step groove of ‘Rush’ was produced by West Coast Major Lazer, Diplo and Madonna collaborator Santell. The EP creative was driven by Places + Faces founder Ciesay.
