Simon Cowell and will.i.am are working on a new TV show to find the next Bill Gates.

The Black Eyed Peas star, who appeared on the media mogul’s rival show The Voice earlier this year, this week revealed that the pair have teamed up in order to discover the latest technology wizards:

“We’re working on a project called X Factor for Tech — and it’s going to be out of this world. Singing and performance create a couple of jobs. But this will create lots.

“It’s about getting in touch with youth and giving them a platform to express themselves — whether that’s in science or mathematics.”

The 37-year-old, who spoke about the project at a London technology conference, went on to add that despite reports to the contrary, he is on friendly terms with The X-Factor USA judge:

“Simon’s cool. We had a wicked dinner a couple of weeks ago and it was very nice.”
