With their dazzling new album ‘Negotiations’ set for release through Sub Pop on September 10th, Portland duo THE HELIO SEQUENCE are offering a free download of new track ‘October’.
 
‘October’is the first glimpse the web has seen of the 11 tracks on this collection of shimmering meditation on inner dialogues. Recording started with a destructive flood in the studio Brandon Summers and Benjamin Weikel (Modest Mouse) have shared for many years and ended with a stunning record about solitude, memory, misgivings, loss, atonement, acceptance and hope. It’s a record that serves as a testament to the beauty, blessing, and excitement of a fresh start.

If you pre-order ‘Negotiations’  from SubPop.com or buy it from select retailers on CD or LP, it will come with a quadrophonic companion CD called ‘Aces’. ‘Aces' is meant to be played simultaneously with ‘Negotiations’ on two different stereo systems to create an enhanced spatial experience .
