Horror Icon Yan Birch joins the cast in Swedish Director Jonas Wolcher’s new film “The Beast Beneath Lake Bullaren.”

Horribly handsome, deviously devilish, frightfully fabulous, and salaciously sexy, actor Yan Birch has proven himself king of the horror films, starring in features including: “The People Under The Stairs”, a Wes Craven masterpiece where he portrayed “The Stairmaster”. He played the role of a transvestite in “Cyber Bandits”, with Adam Ant, Grace Jones and Martin Kemp, and portrayed a guardian angel in ” Bless The Child”. He also produced “Essence of Echoes”, and starred as the main villain. He can recently be seen in the hit films “Agramon’s Gate”, “Eternal Code”, ‘Betrayed”, and the soon to be released Thomas J. Churchill film “The Amityville Harvest.”

Aside from movies, Birch had reoccurring roles in the popular soaps, “Santa Barbara” and “The Young and The Restless.” Yan is also recognized for his recurring role as Kane, head of the Warlocks in the Spelling hit TV series “Charmed.”

“The Beast Beneath Lake Bullaren” is an action adventure horror creature feature that takes place in the beautiful northern part of Bohuslän, Sweden. A modern-day Scandinavian Jaws, the movie stars Swedish actress Āsa Älmeby Thorne and actor Pär "Pelle" Karlsson, and of course the Beast.

Jonas Wolcher is a cult figure among Swedish genre cinema and has been active since the early 2000’s. He is the director and one of the producers of this film.
