Adele has overtaken the record previously set by Lady Gaga and has now become the artist with the most digitally downloaded album in the UK.

Music Week has confirmed that the 'Rolling In The Deep' superstar's sophomore album, '21', has taken the impressive title from Gaga who originally held it for her sales of 'The Fame'.

Adele has recently enjoyed phenomenal success with this record and looks set to continue this at the weekend as she is still at No.1 in the UK.
