Celebrity Attendees/Performers/Presenters Announced for 2010 Long Island Music Hall of Fame Gala
PORT JEFFERSON, N.Y., Nov. 11, 2010 -- The Long Island Music Hall of Fame (LIMHoF) Third Induction Gala on November 16th will feature a star-studded array of celebrities.
Red carpet entrances begin at 6:30PM at Oheka Castle (135 West Gate Drive, Huntington), the induction ceremony begins at 7:30PM, and VIP party immediately after.

The gala will also feature the inaugural awarding of The Harry Chapin Legacy Award to Long Island Cares (accepted bySandy Chapin), and the 2009 and 2010 Music Educator of Note Awards, presented to Joseph Sugar (posthumously) andLaurence Ballereau.

Long Island Music Hall of Fame (LIMHoF) is a 501(c)(3) museum and membership organization dedicated to the idea that Long Island's musical heritage is an important resource to be celebrated and preserved for future generations. The organization defines Long Island geographically as Kings, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk counties. The Hall of Fame sponsors the Long Island Sound Award (LISA), traveling educational exhibits, and a scholarship program. It is also creating a museum home where the story of the Island's musical heritage will be told.
