58th Academy of Country Music Awards Winners ListThe 58th Academy of Country Music Awards took place last night (Thursday, May 11) at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. The ceremony celebrates country music's most prominent stars and emerging talent. Lainey Wilson was the big winner at the 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards, after triumphing in four categories. The 30-year-old singer-songwriter took home the Female Artist of the Year gong, as well as the Album of the Year accolade for Bell Bottom Country, and Visual Media of the Year and Music Event of the Year awards for Hardy's "Wait in the Truck", which she featured on. After being presented with the Female Artist of the Year prize by 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dolly Parton - who co-hosted the prestigious event alongside Garth Brooks - Lainey said: "I can't believe I just met Dolly Parton, first of all. This is crazy. "I want to say thank you to my father. Thank you, Jesus, for this, this is absolutely insane." Lainey also thanked her family, record label and team for fighting for her "every single day", and paid tribute to Parton, as well as her fellow nominees, Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, and Carly Pearce. She said: "I look up to y'all so much, and I'm up here cause of y'all, cause of people like Dolly Parton paving the way. "For the little girls watching this, this right here stands for hard work. If you're gonna be a dreamer, you better be a doer." Miranda Lambert, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Keith Urban and Jelly Roll were among the evening's many performers, with Parton closing out the show with a performance of "World on Fire," a new track off her highly-anticipated rock album, Rockstar. Other big winners on the night included Chris Stapleton, who landed the coveted Entertainer of the Year award. Morgan Wallen triumphed in the Male Artist of the Year category, and Brothers Osborne scooped Duo of the Year. Old Dominion landed the Group of the Year title, and there was a double win for Cole Swindell. He scooped both Single of the Year and Song of the Year for his tune "She Had Me At Heads Carolina". Following his second win of the night, Cole said: "Thank you country music fans, that's all I've ever been. "I don't know what I ever did to get this fortunate." As well as a double win with Lainey for "Wait in the Truck", Hardy won the Artist-Songwriter of the Year accolade, and Ashley Gorley picked up Songwriter of the Year. Hailey Whitters was crowned New Female Artist of the Year, and Zach Bryan won New Male Artist of the Year. The ACM’s are streamed live on Prime Video and will be rebroadcast on Friday (May 12) for free on Amazon Freevee starting at 8 p.m. ET.
