O Genesis Recordings Release three new 7”’s on Record Store Day: 21st AprilTim Burgess O Genesis Recordings, the label founded by Tim Burgess releases three new 7” singles on record Store Day, April 21st. The first release comes from London 3 piece Blood Music with their debut double AA sided 7” Orphee//Sea Of Leaves. Recorded at Eve Studios with Tim Burgess and Jim Spencer, Sea Of Leaves also features vocals and guitar by Factory Floor’s Nik Colk Void and a forthcoming remix by FF's Gabe Gurnsey. Then Tim Burgess releases the first track from his forthcoming solo album ‘A Case For Vinyl’. “I recorded ‘ACFV’ last year in Nashville – Chris Scruggs on stand up bass, he’s the grandson of the legendary Earl Scruggs. Tony Crow from Lambchop is on piano and Mark Nevers producing”. ‘A Case For Vinyl’ is limited to 500 and will be clear vinyl. The forthcoming album ‘Oh Know I Love You’ is released in the Autumn. Burgess is also preparing for the publication of his autobiography, Telling Stories, through Penguin on April 26th. The third release will be a 7” split between R Stevie Moore and The Vaccines, who are covering each others songs – the latter doing ‘Why Should I Love You’ and Moore ‘Post Break Up Sex’. Freddie from The Vaccines says “We heard about R Stevie after recording with Albert Hammond Jnr in upstate New York, having not heard him I looked through his back catalogue and instantly loved what I heard. When I listen to Stevie I hear someone with a real freedom to commit exactly the way he feels to tape which because of his recording methods is as direct an artist/listener connection as I’ve heard. His music is not censored or diluted, with him you get the entire picture. We chose “Why Should I Love You’ because to us it’s an undiscovered pop gem, as good as any classic pop tune and screaming to be heard.”
