2x Grammy-nominated artist and R&B virtuoso, SiR has released his fourth studio album, Heavy, alongside new single and video for “You,” out now via TDE. Heavy delves deep into SiR’s intrinsic journey, serving as a poignant reflection of his recovery, mental health and phyiscal transformation. Through soul-stirring tracks like “You,” “Six Whole Days,” and “Ricky’s Song,” to name a few, SiR navigates his personal odyssey, offering anthemic melodies raw with emotion, visceral lyricism and fearless honesty. Heavy boasts carefully curated collaborations with esteemed artists including Ty Dolla $ign, Isaiah Rashad, Ab-Soul, Anderson .Paak, and Scribz Riley. Watch the Loris Ruissier directing video for “You”, HERE, yet another stunning piece of the cinematic universe created around Heavy.

“I think 2020 was the worst year of my life,” SiR explains of Heavy’s origins. “I went through addiction issues, went through a relationship problem. Me and my wife were about to get a divorce, and we had a baby.” In the midst of a struggle with addiction and bouts with depression, SiR became a father. Normally, that would be cause for celebration, but in his chaotic state at the time, his personal demons threatened to steal that joy and drive a wedge between him and his family “It was the most pressure I had ever felt in my life,” he recalls.

In the midst of all this, ironically, SiR found himself in the studio making some of the best music of his career. “My life was in shambles, and the music was coming out phenomenal,'' he says. “I was surprised. But then, once I got to the other side [of my problems], it started to get even better. That's where the album's coming from. It's coming from a place where you're going to see both sides.”

SiR recently unveiled the single and music video, directed by Loris Russier, “Karma,”featuring Isaiah Rashad following SiR and other characters as they navigate life’s twists and turns, battling their vices and grappling with the consequences of their actions. Earlier this year, SiR paid homage to D’Angelo’s “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” with a resounding R&B/rock track, "No Evil," while also revealing his stunning fitness transformation.
