US: BMG artists and songwriters nominated for 64th annual Grammy Awards

The Recording Academy announced their nominations for the 64th annual Grammy Awards. Recognizing artists and songwriters for their contributions to music over the past year, the ceremony will be held on January 31, 2022, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Highlights included:

  • BMG songwriter client D’Mile scored a total of six GRAMMY Award nominations across the categories Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best R&B Song, Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song, and Best Song Written For Visual Media.

  • Multi-platinum BBR recording artist Jimmie Allen received his first-ever GRAMMY Award nomination for Best New Artist. The nomination comes on the heels of Allen being crowned New Artist of the Year at the 55th Annual Country Music Association Awards.

  • BMG recording artist Ledisi scored a nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album with Ledisi Sings Nina.

  • Superstar country artist Jason Aldean received a nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for his duet with Carrie Underwood ‘If I Didn’t Love You’.

  • Modern Recordings: Pat Metheny received a nomination for Best Jazz Instrumental Album with Side-Eye NYC (V1.IV); composer Vince Mendoza received a nomination in the category Best Instrumental Composition with Concerto For Orchestra: Finale as well as a nomination for Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals with 'To The Edge Of Longing (Edit Version)'

  • BMG writer Yami (James Bell) contributed to 'The Business' performed by Tiësto, and nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Recording.
