Last night (February 10) Britney Spears held a rather telling question and answer session through her official Twitter account. 

When asked by a fan to describe the style of her new album, 'Femme Fatale', the star wrote:

"I would describe it as moody, edgy pop with A LOT of energy. I co-wrote a couple of songs. I think its some of the best work I have ever done"

The 'Womanizer' singer also revealed:

"There are a few mid tempos that could be considered ballads."

She also quashed the rumours that she will perform at this year's Grammy awards, saying:

"I won't be there and was never planning on going."
