Cheryl Cole has joked that she would like to come back as a man in a next life - "preferably Harry Styles".

The singer took to Twitter today (March 4) to muse on the afterlife and reincarnation.

However, it seems that she would love to live the life of One Direction hunk Harry Styles if she had the choice.

Cole wrote: "I have decided that when I come back I want to come back as a guy (preferably Harry Styles) #nextlife."

The former X Factor judge meanwhile has returned to the recording studio to work on the follow-up to her 2012 album 'A Million Lights'.

No official information, however, has yet surfaced about the progress of her new material.
