Cheryl Cole scores midweek No.1 with 'Call My Name'

Songstress Cheryl Cole has secured the top spot in the UK Top 40 today (June 13) with her brand new single.

According to the Official Charts Company, the hitmaker has sold just over 97,000 copies of 'Call My Name' in just 3 days and it is the only new entry in the Top 10, knocking Gary Barlow's Diamond Jubilee offering, 'Sing', down to No.3.

Flo Rida is a non-mover at No.2 with 'Whistle', Coldplay and Rihanna's collaborative track 'Princess Of China' has climbed 3 places to No.5, and Gotye's former chart-topper 'Somebody That I Used To Know' has risen 2 positions to No.15.

Elsewhere, 'As Long As You Love Me' by Justin Bieber has entered the singles chart at No.24, Trey Songz's 'Heart Attack' debuted at 36, and Katy Perry's 'Wide Awake' has made an appearance at 37.
