Cheryl Cole stunned the students of a Newcastle primary school by turning up unannounced to watch them perform one of her songs.

During an end of term performance of Cole’s hit single ‘Fight For This Love’ the year five pupils of Tyneview Primary School were surprised when the singer herself sat in the audience to watch them.

The show was part of a project the school children had been working on about Cheryl’s rise to stardom. 

Whilst at the school the ex-Girls Aloud star told the children how pleased she was with their show, spoke to staff members and posed for pictures with dinner ladies (see image below). 

Robyn Bonnick, a teacher from Tyneview, said: “The whole topic, especially Cheryl’s involvement, has been amazing. I now have ten-year-olds with a greater attitude to learning and the ethos of ‘not giving up’, as well as a whole new knowledge of the many job opportunities in the performance business.”
