Chris Brown cancels Canada concerts after being barred from country

Chris Brown has been forced into cancelling tour dates in Canada after being denied entry to the country.

The singer was due to perform in Montreal on Tuesday (February 24) and Toronto tonight (February 25).

However, the US star confirmed in two now deleted tweets that he has been barred from enterting Canada.

He said: "Unfortunately I will not be able to perform in front of sold out crowds in Montreal & Toronto.

"The good people of the Canadian government wouldn't allow me entry. I'll be back this summer and will hopefully see all my Canadian fans!"

Promoter Live Nation blamed "immigration issues" for the cancellations.

Brown earlier this year postponed some US Between The Sheets tour dates because he needed to finish community service hours.
