London-based artist and composer Phoebe Coco is set to captivate audiences once again with her highly anticipated EP release, "I Am Not A Machine", scheduled for release on October 13th. To celebrate this milestone, Phoebe Coco will perform live at Saint Pancras Old Church on the same date at 7:30pm. With her unique blend of organic and electronic instrumentation, Phoebe Coco invites listeners into a world where the natural and urban collide.

Born in the lush landscapes of The Brecon Beacons National Park, Phoebe Coco's upbringing in London has instilled in her a deep appreciation for the contrasts between the natural and urban worlds. This duality is at the heart of her music, reflected in her lilting lyrics and the fusion of organic and electronic sounds.

"I Am Not A Machine" is a reflection of Phoebe Coco's exploration of living contradictions and the interplay between wilderness and city life.

The lead single, "Machine”, originated during her time at art school and was recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios. This track represents a sonic journey that skillfully blurs the boundaries between genres and art forms. Phoebe Coco surrounded herself with exceptional talent for this song, with three-time Grammy winner Eduardo De La Paz co-producing the song and the track being expertly mastered by Kevin Tuffy, a recent winner of the Mastering Engineer of the Year award.

Phoebe Coco's connection to music runs deep within her family. Raised in a singing matriarchy of grandmothers, mothers, and sisters, her family's influence is evident in the unique "blood harmonies" that can be heard throughout the EP. These harmonies create a distinct and unusual sound that is both haunting and beautiful.

As a committed community and ecological activist, Phoebe Coco uses her music to bring attention to environmental themes. Her work has been featured on BBC 4's Front Row, and she has contributed to the award-winning Urban Tree Festival with her project "Tree Song". Phoebe Coco's commitment to preserving the natural world is a central theme in "I Am Not A Machine", as she encourages listeners to "slow down, listen, and reflect on how the old ways can meet the new."

Phoebe Coco's acclaimed debut album, "My White Horse & I" (2020), received recognition from Tom Robinson and gained radio play on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 4, and BBC Radio 2. She has graced stages at renowned festivals like Shambala Festival and Iceland Airwaves, as well as intimate venues such as The Old Blue Last, The Sebright, and Peckham Audio, solidifying her presence on the London music scene.

Currently pursuing a Creative Practice Masters at Goldsmiths University, Phoebe Coco's artistic endeavours extend beyond music. She scores music for film, theatre, and dance, collaborating with London's finest artists. Her passion for music is evident in her frequent appearances with various groups, including "The Lydian Collective," "The Laszlo Project," and "Golden Bug & In Fields."
Phoebe Coco's journey as a musician and artist is one of boundless creativity and a deep connection to the natural world. Her EP, "I Am Not A Machine", is a testament to her unique vision and a call to embrace our humanity amidst a changing world.
