IDE's 4th LP, 'Breathe Easy' Has Arrived!
Click here to download, 'Breathe Easy' via iTunes After spending the past six years perfecting his craft and growing his label (Creative Juices Music), Brooklyn’s own IDE returns with “Flight Patterns,” the neck-snapping and lyrically potent single off his fourth LP, Breathe Easy. The contemplative track is produced by newcomer Lucky Loopiano who constructs a layered backdrop built on strings, guitars, and drums that complement the dense and lyrical verses from the Brooklyn native. IDE also displays an innate knack for ill rhyme schemes and patterns, deftly weaving in and out of the pocket throughout. It makes for both a rewind-worthy listen and something any Hip-Hop head will glad nod along to (and keep on repeat along with the remainder of Breathe Easy). Breathe Easy is now available for download through iTunes and all major digital retailers, and can be purchased on Compact Disc online, via Creative Juices Music. Refer to the album sampler below.

Breathe Easy represents the fourth full-length album from Brooklyn hip-hop artist and entrepreneur IDE. For nearly 20 years, he’s refined his craft as an MC and businessman, growing his Creative Juices Music into a formidable NYC rap label and working on a series of projects. On Breathe Easy, we’re hearing his most personal and engaging album to date, as he blends his raw and clever lyricism with gritty, Boom bap production from Lucky Loopiano, and multi-instrumentalist Kelly Finnigan. During his years spent releasing mixtapes and compilations, IDE’s fanbase has grown to recognize his place as a solo artist and as a top-tier collaborator. Whether working on his own music or cuts alongside Kool G Rap, Killah Priest, Ill Bill, the Outsidaz, Sadat X, Steele (of Smiff-n-Wessun), and Casual (Hiero), to name a few, the Brooklynite has carved out his space in NYC Boom bap. And that’s apparent from the jump on Breathe Easy, with “Method to Madness” grabbing you by the ear and commanding your attention. What’s perhaps most interesting, however, is that this is IDE’s first project without any cameos or features. It makes for a conceptually rich project from an artist who captures the essence of being independent, both as an emcee and as a business owner. It’s a refreshing, wholly creative listen for Hip-Hop heads and younger fans alike, as the wordplay and sharp production is an intoxicating combination. With Loopiano and Finnagan on his side, IDE proves that there’s nothing wrong with taking some time away to work on what you love.
