We could all use a bit of escapism right now. Earth certainly isn’t the most relaxing place to be, and it’s definitely pretty commonplace right now for anxieties to be rife in the midst of all this uncertainty. Fortunately for us, we still have music.

Specifically, we have Pet Puma.

A band consisting of possibly the most unlikely group of people to ever end up in a recording studio, Pet Puma brings together the talents of an Instagram Influencer, professional stuntwoman, entrepreneur, dungeon master and songwriter (yep, there’s one of them in there too).

This unlikely bunch have just dropped their first single, ‘Spaceship’, which has already been hailed by BBC Introducing as “something sublime”. It’s a tale of otherworldly companionship, something which we could all use a little of right now. The song will take you out of the world (literally) with it’s funky bassline and keys, inspired by those of Prince and Mystery Jets.

‘Spaceship’ must be heard to be believed, and surely marks the beginning of a long and prosperous career for this brilliant five-piece.
